Team Pharmocracy consists of a student cum professional body wherein, professionals from the industry highlight certain issues, and students from different pharmacy colleges work towards solving the same. It is also involved in community service activities (CSR) and promoting Pharmacy as a first-choice career.

Our Activities at Pharmocracy
INTRODUCTION TO PHARMACY, PERFUMERY & IPR
The Inaugural Event of Pharmocracy saw a panel of speakers from diverse profiles at PHARMACAD, who interacted with the students about their respective industries. The primary intent was to interact with the First Year B.Pharmacy students who had just entered this field.
IUPAC NOMENCLATURE WORKSHOP
PHARMOCRACY organized an educational Workshop on IUPAC Nomenclature in order to help students struggling with basic concepts of chemistry. Several students who join pharmacy as a secondary career option and those who enter the B. Pharma course as lateral entries from Diploma in Pharmacy find it extremely difficult to cope up with the advanced level chemistry due to a poor foundation.
Mr. Pratik Barve (Assistant Professor – Vivekanand College of Pharmacy) guided the students at PHARMACAD Dadar, with certain tricks and helped them build their foundation of basic IUPAC Nomenclature. The second session for advanced IUPAC concepts will also be conducted in the near future.
TECHNICAL POSTER PRESENTATION COMPETITION
PHARMOCRACY organized a Poster Presentation Competition for the students. There were 24 Teams from various Pharmacy Colleges in Mumbai who participated in the event at PHARMACAD on 21st October 2018.
The winners (St. John Institute of Pharmacy, Palghar) and 2 runners up (Both from Bombay College of Pharmacy) were given cash prizes of Rs. 4,000, Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 1,000 respectively, along with a copy of books written by our author judges (Ms. Potnis and Mr. Nidamboor). The prize amount was co-sponsored by NEWS CUT and PHARMACAD.
DIGITAL MARKETING IN PHARMACY
With the ever-increasing use of social media platforms, it has become essential for Pharma companies also to look upon Digital Marketing as a very important tool for their products and services. PHARMOCRACY invited Mr. Rinkesh Shah (Marketing Strategist – CIPLA & Consultant – NEWS CUT) to interact with the students about the importance of Digital Marketing in Pharmacy, its use and limitations in the industry.
More than 70 attendees were present from various Pharmacy colleges in Mumbai, management colleges, and also members from the industry were present for the same. The session was highly informative and interactive.
MBA – A CAREER (CORE / PHARMA)
A lot of students these days are inclined towards MBA considering the handsome packages offered by the companies. On 27th January 2019, We invited Ms. Jigyasa Jain (Goa Institute of Management) and Ms. Dhanashree Bapat (NMIMS) to throw some light on the real picture and life in the top B Schools across the country.
They guided the students on the TOP B-Schools, Various Entrance Exams, Time Lines, and how to prepare. They also shared their personal experiences about their self transition during the management course.
COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITY
As a part of our community service activities, Students from Team Pharmocracy and Pharmacad joined hands with the Child REACT Foundation an initiative of the CHILD LEARNING CENTRE.
They helped team CRC to organize their 10th Annual Event (Antariksh) on 10th March 2019, for Special Kids. More than 50 kids performed on the stage, thus giving them immense confidence and giving happiness to their family members.
INDUSTRY VISIT – ACG CAPSULES DAHANU
Team Pharmocracy, in association with PHARMACAD, had organized a One Day Industry Visit to AGC Capsules Dahanu. More than 40 Students from 10 different Pharmacy Colleges across Mumbai, visited the plant in 2 batches on 16th and 30th March respectively.
Mr. Shubham Shrivasatava and Mr. Ganesh Vichare hosted the students and explained to them about all the processes involved in capsule manufacturing. The visit was a great learning experience for the students as they got to see the actual process apart from theoretical knowledge.
SOFT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
On 24th March, Pharmocracy organized a soft skills development workshop, in order to develop the presentation skills and personality attributes along with corporate etiquette. Mrs. Harpreet Randhawa (CEO – V Inspire Training and Consultants Pvt Ltd) conducted an extensive 3-hour workshop for the students.
She focused on the ABCD of corporate behavior. 45 Students from about 8 different colleges attended the workshop and gave highly positive feedback about the session.
STUDY ABROAD SEMINAR
Considering the fact that a lot of students drop their idea of going abroad for higher education due to several factors, Pharmocracy organized a seminar to enlighten the students about education abroad.
The seminar gave them detailed information about education in countries like New Zealand, Ireland, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, etc. Mr. Jawahar Nidamboor (Managing Director – Spatika Publications, Asst. Prof VESCOP) guided the students about the seemingly impossible prospects and made it look pretty achievable for the students.
Industrial Visit – Manali/Chandigarh
PHARMOCRACY organized an Industrial/Recreational Visit to Manali and Chandigarh for the students of different Pharmacy Colleges in Mumbai in June 2019. The trip was planned and coordinated byThe Exploria Group.
Around 50 pharmacy students participated in the visit. The industry visited was Biomax Biotechnics PVT LTD. The students also got a chance to visit famous tourist attractions like the Golden Temple, the Wagha Border, the Manikaran Saheb Gurudwara, Rock Garden, etc.
